1 Coworker, 1 Job: Rémi

Rémi takes us on a journey through his daily life at éolane as a Customer Project Manager.

Can you introduce yourself?

Photo Rémi, Customer Project ManagerMy name is Rémi, and I joined éolane through a recruitment agency. The interviews went very well, and I started in my position on March 16, 2020, just before the Covid lockdown. *laughs* Fortunately, I was able to return to the site in April.

Today, I manage a portfolio of around a dozen clients spread across the Eastern Region, with 7 in Valence, 2 in Neuilly-En-Thelle, and the rest in Saint-Agrève.

Can you describe your main tasks?

I am a Customer Project Manager, acting as a conductor of sorts, ensuring the coordination of various services from order placement to product shipment to the customer. I work in tandem with an Account Developer (for existing clients) or a Business Developer (for new clients). I interact with all departments within the company, including Supply Chain, Logistics, ADV, Scheduling, Planning, Quality, and more.

I also collaborate with the controlling department on stock resale and invoice resolution in case of disputes. Every month, I participate in stock resale meetings, aiming to resell obsolete items and secure excess stock with the client.

I communicate directly with the client and maintain a close relationship. I serve as the interface between the client's needs and éolane's capabilities. It is my responsibility to gather relevant information and distribute actions to be implemented. I participate in go meetings to convey production-related information and foster internal team collaboration. In this role, effective communication and close collaboration with different departments are of utmost importance.

What is your work environment like?

I work in an open-space office with my CPM colleagues. AD, Supply, and Purchasing teams, we are fortunate to be all located on the same floor, which is very convenient!

According to you, what are the qualities required to work in this profession?

To work in this profession, one needs to have good communication skills and be perseverant. It is important to be able to understand the challenges that are not our own, both internally and with our clients, and be attentive. Resilience to stress, rigor, and positivity are essential in this type of role.

And conversely, what constraints should be taken into account?

The most challenging part is learning to manage pressure positively. The pressure for results should be beneficial, and it is certainly legitimate. I like to follow through with things, I hold myself to high standards, and I don't let tensions accumulate.

At éolane, I never feel alone; I always have the support of my manager and colleagues.
